Fabulous Vs. Foolish Fashion The idea of SSA to students at HMMS is A BIG MISTAKE!The way people express themselves through clothing cannot be shown in SSA.SSA does not allow kids to express their inner creativity and what makes them different. SSA is just the way that administrators maintain safety in schools. Schools such as MNPS use SSA to maintain safety, and to prevent bullying. SSA also helps because it causes less drama in the morning (or night) with picking out clothes. You don’t have much of a choice in what you wear with SSA; you have to wear a collared shirt, and blue, black, or khaki pants. SSA is also easier to shop for; you know exactly what to look for also its less expensive. Also, kids don't have to worry about getting made fun of because of what clothes they wear. The stores like Hollister, Abercrombie, Aeropostale, and American Eagle promote kids to think that those are the only stores 'cool' kids shop at. SSA is hated by most kids because they feel controlled, and like they have no freedom as to what they wear. So yeah, most kids are neutral or totally against this concept.
